Pope Benedict XVI Visit To Yankee Stadium
Dear Parishioners, Tony and I went on the pilgrimage to see the Pope with our Archdiocese. It was truly a holy experience. The group picture is with our new friends from St Bernadette South. We were all on the same bus. We arrived at the stadium at 9:30am. Entertainment started at 12:30 and continued until the Pope arrived at 2:30. The last two pictures are of the Homily and Communion. The Pope is seated for the Homily and in the last picture he is standing at the altar surrounded with the 300 priest who gave out communion to 57,000 people. It was quiet and reverent even in Yankee Stadium! We held Father Herb and St Bernadette in our prayers. We hope you enjoy the pictures. Click here to see the slide show (includes music).
