CLI 2005 really did change my life! I don't know how else to
describe it other than to say that it was really my best week ever.
I met new friends that I still hang out with to this day.
There was a lot more to CLI than
the social aspect though, I
went to workshops that gave me leadership skills that I can
use for the rest of my life. The workshops covered aspects
such as Communication Skills, Planning Skills, Finding the
Prayer Style that Fits You Best, Group Dynamics,and
Decision Making. |
For all of the five days we were there,
we would meet with our small groups, which were made up of around
seven or eight
people that we didn't know. People in small groups buit friendships
and learn to trust each other, small group sessions included
working together to get assigned tasks completed, or organizing
either warm-ups, prayer sessions, meals, icebreakers, and
evening socials.
The main thing I got from CLI was
a better prayer life; I've learned many different ways to communicate
with Christ.
I cannot stress enough how much this experience really changed my
life; I really don't know how anyone could pass up
an opportunity to attend something like CLI. |
